About Cabo Enterprises
Cabo Enterprises was first launched in 2007 as a boutique event planning company specializing in Mexican events, providing private chef service, décor and margarita machine rentals. However, the frozen drink machine rentals quickly became the mainstay of the business primarily in the hot summer months. Over time, Cabo Enterprises has purchased more machines and connected with the best suppliers of top quality mixes and can now provide slushies for events with up to 5000 guests. We are the only company in the Lower Mainland with nearly ten years experience in offering “concierge service” for iced or slushed beverages.
Meet the Team
After studying communications at SFU and spending 20 years in the 9- 5 working world (first as an Account Executive for a cosmetic company and then as Client Services Officer for the federal government), Catherine retired to spend time with her family, do volunteer work and focus on her music. Her ability to organize large scale events and concerts led to further studies as an event planner at BCIT. Catherine currently operates two businesses: Cabo Enterprises and a not-for-profit concert production company Sisters of Soul Productions to aid women and musical artists in need. When her fingers aren’t turning blue from raspberry slush, Catherine writes and performs original music and spends much of the winter in Mexico.
Currently a first year business management student at Ryerson University in Toronto, Emily graduated with honours from Collingwood School while holding a number of part time positions in the food industry. Emily has worked for Cabo Enterprises for four years, and has been the onsite supervisor for many large scale events. Currently, Emily is taking on the challenge of refreshing and marketing the company brand and running a summer employment program for her fellow university students. Emily is also an accomplished vocalist and has appeared as a featured soloist with Vancouver’s top R& B Choir Top Line Vocal Collective.
All of our personable staff are university students with their FOODSAFE and/or Serving it Right certification, happy to act as brand ambassadors for our clients if required. We believe as a company that employees should be paid fairly, and, by keeping our overhead low, we are able to pay our employees competitive wages to help fund their education.
